Big H Plays

Big H is so much fun!

He has learned to play on his own and loves to roll over onto his tummy. His little personality grows everyday and his little giggle is completely infectious. He has so much neck strength and is comfortable on his tummy than Sydney ever was. I wonder if he will crawl earlier or just be content to barrel roll around the house. For now, I am just enjoying watching  him play and seeing the world through his big blue eyes.

Creating a Quilt

Lately I have been very inspired by some of the beautiful modern quilts that have been popping up in home decor.

My Aunt is an incredible quilter. When we were in Vancouver I was in awe of some of the amazing work she had created and as soon as I got home I was pulling out all of my sewing gear. I knew that the first thing I wanted to do would be to put together quilts for the kids. I picked up some fabric in the states and I have been completely immersed in getting them done.

My hope is that I will be able to give them their blankets for Christmas! Here are a few photos of Sydney's quilt in progress.

Fashion

Because sometimes a pyjama cowgirl needs to wear her rubber boots and all of her jewellery while walking around the house with her purse....

Bubbles

Almost every time we go visit my dad in Lethbridge we end up having a bubble party in his giant bathtub.

We have great memories of being in the tub with Sydney as a baby and have many hilarious photos of her covered in bubbles. This time was no different. David put on his bathing suit and got in the tub with them and Henry enjoyed every minute. We have two little water babies who love to play!

Henry ~ 4 Months

We have reached four months!

For some reason when I tell people that Henry is four months old it just seems like we have leaped forward in time and he is so much older. He has changed so much in the last month! He is a chatty, smiley, happy little guy who loves to be social and try new things.

He is really into swimming and loves baths (another water baby!). He has grown a few extra rolls and is the master of all poop blowouts. He is weighing in at a solid 14 pounds 2 ounces and is now 63.5cm tall. He is still an incredible breastfeeder but we started him on solids in Friday.

Our life with him is getting more and more incredible and I honestly cannot explain the amount of love I feel for this little man. My chest literally hurts looking at him. I am completely infatuated.

100 Things - Item #79 ~ Go Streaking

Lately David and I have been re-visiting our 100 Things list.

We have been so busy over the last year and a half that we really haven't had time to sit down and decide which ones we would like to tackle right away. Luckily, in the past four months, two of our "things" have kind of fallen into our laps.

The first one actually happened a couple of months ago and I will blog about it once I figure out how to get the photos off of my failing Blackberry. The second one actually got added to our list right before it happened. The night of Lara and Mathieu's wedding we put Sydney to sleep and took some time to sit and wind down. While we were chatting David stopped mid sentence, looked at me and asked me if streaking across a golf course was on our list of things to do. My response was "it is now!"

The house we had rented was on a golf course so we ran outside and he dropped his clothes and jumped the fence. I have never laughed so hard in my life. Here we were, parents of two giggling and acting like teenagers. It was almost pitch black out so I could only see him for a little while. i got more and more worried as the minutes passed and he didn't return. All of a sudden I heard women scream and a minute later David was hoping back over the fence. He had run all the way up to the clubhouse and back. It was one of the best spontaneous moments we have had lately.

Item #79 ~ Go Streaking..... CHECK!

Family Time in Lethbridge

On the way back from Mathieu and Lara's wedding we stopped in to see my dad in Lethbridge.

It was one of the best things we could have done. Aside from the visiting with family, we had nothing to do. It was a nice departure from the how busy the previous week had been. We spent time together, visited my grandma, loved Papa, went to the spray park and cuddled with each other. It was blissful.

In other news.... Sydney and Henry are totally best friends now. Check out the pictures of her tickling her little brother and him loving every minute of it. So damn cute.

Sydney ~ 2 and a Half

This little girl is 2 and a half.

Time seriously flies by. I still can't believe that our baby girl is not a baby anymore. Seeing her next to Henry actually makes me a little sad. I remember her at his age. I remember every detail. She was such a perfect baby and is such a perfect little girl.

Sydney is little Miss independent now. She has to do everything by herself and gets really upset if we try to tread on her territory. She is into grocery shopping and clothing shopping.... really any shopping and loves to dance. She loves to paint and play with her Dad's train set. She is a major playground addict and will never say no to a day at the pool. Syd is a recent potty training master and an incredible older sister. She can count to 20, sing all of her ABC's and likes to use big words like "fantastic", "observant", "exquisite" and "delicious". She is smarter than any other 2 year old I have ever met and has a mountain of personality. She is the queen of shaking her bum and loves to try on shoes. She is beautiful and funny and one of my best friends.

I can't wait to see what the coming years will bring us.

On The Road ~ Vancouver to Idaho

Woah, I am way out of order here.

Here are a few photos from the drive from Vancouver to Coeur d'Alene. It was a beautiful drive and we stopped in Seattle for some delicious sushi.... yum!
