After three days at Disneyland we all needed a major break from crowds and walking. It was the perfect opportunity to head to Newport beach.
It was a short drive on some crazy LA freeways later... and we were in paradise. Newport Beach is massive and the kids took off running for the water. We laid out our towels and spent the whole morning running around, swimming, digging and drawing pictures in the sand. It was also Hugh's first trip to the ocean. He was so curious about the texture of the sand between his toes and didn't complain at all about the water being a little bit cool.
I wish we could have spent more time on the beach. It was the most incredible family morning.
