17 Day Diet: Results

Well, I survived the 17 day diet.

I will admit that it was not easy and there were plenty of opportunities for me to fall right off of the wagon onto my should-be-thinner ass. But I did it. I ate lean proteins and vegetables, small amounts of fruit, drank my weight in water every day and tried to work out as often as possible. My grand total for the 17 days was 8.5lbs lost. I do feel a lot better and I can already tell that my clothes are fitting better.

The next step for me is to re-introduce some carbs and simple sugars into my diet and work to get back into a regular running routine. The weather in Edmonton is starting to get warmer so now I have no excuses.

All in all, I would say that putting in the time and the effort to do the 17 day diet was totally worth it. I think that they key is to combine it with a small amount of exercise and DON'T CHEAT! It was a great way to lose the in ital few pounds and it has kick started the athlete in me again.
