We have just returned from the most incredible trip to Mexico.
Puerto Vallarta ended up being the perfect spot for an absolutely stunning wedding and a fantastic family trip. Sydney was an absolute star on the flights and made a million new friends throughout the week. We flew out of Edmonton with about thirty other wedding guests as well as the bride and groom and partied the entire way to Mexico.
We stayed at the Dreams resort. It has a completely private beach, flanked by two cliffs and was completely breathtaking. We stayed in a massive room that adjoined to David's Dad's room (he came along to help us out with Sydney) and ate at all four restaurants, the buffet and the snack bar while we were there.
The whole experience was unforgettable. Being in a beautiful paradise with some of our closest friends in the world while we celebrate the marriage of two of our favorite people was incredible. We played by the pool together everyday, lazed on the beach, ate long dinners, enjoyed late night drinks and had penthouse parties.
The wedding itself took place on a completely private beach. You could only access it by boat and the entire place was candle lit, including the stone walkways and stairs. The sunset ceremony on the beach was sweet and personal. They read aloud their sweet vows, filled with inside jokes and loving memories. After dinner thecouple had organized the set up of a beach bonfire with a smore station and the full dance floor that was packed for the majority of the night. Scott and Kenna danced their first dance to "Is This Love" by Bob Marley and surprised guests with a traditional fire dance. When all was said and done, we hoped back on the boat for the hour ride to the resort where we drank from the full bar and danced on the boat deck to music spun by our own private DJ. Once back at the resort, the party continued on into the wee hours of the morning.
