Summer Adventures ~ The Lake & Rocky Mountain House

This summer was jam packed with the most amazing adventures.

There was one weekend in particular that we managed to pack in a tonne of fun in a very short period of time. Stop was was the lake on a Friday afternoon to visit with my Aunt and her kids who were in town from Phoenix. The kids ran, swam, boated, ate and played most of the day away. They loved every minute of their time with cousins and friends and the weather could not have cooperated more.... Thank goodness.

After the lake we hit the road to Rocky Mountain House where my sister and her husband live on their acreage. They bought their house a year ago and we had not been able to find the time to get out to check it out. I am so glad we did! Aside from the awesome visit time that we were able to have with them, we got to see the best that Rocky has to offer.

On Friday night we explored Jeannie and Tyler's property, had an amazing dinner and some much needed adult time. Saturday we crashed a super fun kids Birthday party (Ty's friend's little guy) where the kids got the superhero treatment including a massive water fight. We followed it up with lunch and swimming in the river. We took turns letting the kids float down the river in their boat from adult to adult. That afternoon Jeannie and I hung out in their pond while the kids napped and Sydney joined us when she woke up. That evening brought some more time to visit, another amazing meal, a few games of go fish, and some pretty incredible memories.

You can bet that we will be back next summer for some more fun!
