Ubud is considered to be the cultural center for the island. Every night there are shows and there are ceremonies almost daily. Their culture and faith is on full display in so many ways and it is so beautiful.
Sydney had put in a special request for our time in Ubud. She really wanted to see a traditional Balinese dance show. They put them on at several locations every night and each one has a different folk tale to tell. We chose to go to the show at the Palace and paid roughly $20 for the whole family to attend. We enjoyed every minute of the hour and a half show. It was so well done and all of the make up and costumes were so detailed and beautiful.
In the video below (It's a long one), try to watch for the subtle detail in their movements and facial expressions. This dancing is all about the details.
