Sydney's First School Project

I feel like we have entered that stage of parenting where we get to re-live all of our years in grade school.... the homework years. 

Sydney was assigned her first real project a few weeks ago. The kindergarten kids are doing an insect unit and each had to choose an insect to build a habitat for. Of course this meant that the parents would be building a habitat with "help" from the kids. We had about a week and a half to come up with a plan and send the finished product off to school with the kids. 

I was not surprised at all when Syd chose to do a Ladybug habitat. I am pretty sure half of the girls chose to do Ladybugs. We emptied one of Dave's shoe boxes, filled out the worksheet that needed to be finished with the habitat and got to work. In the end it turned out great and she actually helped do most of it! She had to do a short presentation about the habitat in French too so we practiced a few facts that she had nailed down by the time she had to present.
