Visits From Our Favorite Angelinos

To say we miss Scott and Kenna would be a massive understatement.

These two former Edmontonians, now temporary (potentially permanent) Angelinos, are some of our favorite people. If you read the blog often, you know that we have a very tight knit group of friends. I have known almost all of my girlfriends since high school and David has been friends with all of the guys since then as well. I have also known two of the guys (Marc and Scott) since I was 15... but that's a whole different story. Basically, David and I have an incredible circle of people around us who we have known forever. Scott and Kenna are part of that group.

Last year, during the year of weddings, we attended their incredible wedding in Mexico. They had moved to LA for work opportunities the fall before their wedding so it was a great time for all of us to catch up. We had visited them over Christmas the year they moved to LA when we met in Palm Springs for a day and night of hot tubs, drinking, food, quading and bonding. There have been a few brief visits here and there but it never seems like enough time.

The first weekend we were here in Phoenix (I know I am massively behind on blogging) they came to stay with us. They literally pulled into the driveway as David was taking Henry to the hospital and they kept me sane the whole time he was gone. We spent time by the pool, made some great food, enjoyed some wine (and the discovery that super sweet Moscato mixed with some club soda is DELICIOUS!) and played with the kids.

Both kids love Scott and Kenna so much and so do we. We are so proud of their accomplishments and their willingness to take the giant risks in life that we wish we were willing to make. I often live vicariously through them and love hearing their wild LA stories. Sydney thinks they are the greatest thing since sliced bread and I am pretty sure that Henry has a massive crush on Kenna.

We miss them and wish our time with them was longer. It was a great visit.
